Mrs. Janaki Liyanage Completes Two Years of Service as President of ASVU

Mrs. Janaki Liyanage marked two years of service as the President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) on 03 June 2024. A series of events were conducted at the ASVU office at Army Headquarters to honour this milestone.

The day's proceedings began with a Seth Pirith ceremony, conducted by the Maha Sanga, including Venerable Wathurawila Siri Sujatha Thero. Following the religious observances, the President distributed dry ration packs to Army and civil personnel working at the ASVU office. This gesture aimed to alleviate the economic burdens faced by these individuals.

In conjunction with the celebrations, the Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch (SLA-SVB) handed over ICU beds to Mrs. Janaki Liyanage for subsequent donation to the Army Hospital in Colombo.
