ASVU Builds New House for a Needy Family

Under the guidance of the President, Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU), Mrs. Janaki LIyanage, a new house was erected by the troops of 8 Gajaba Regiment (8 GR) for a needy family in Ukuwela area. The new house was vested in the beneficiary on 23 May 2024 during a brief ceremony.

ASVU took the initiative to complete this house using technical skills and manpower assistance given by troops of 8 GR. During the warming ceremony, the house keys were symbolically handed over to the beneficiary by the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu and the President, ASVU.

Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and residents in the area were among participants in the warming ceremony.
