Following an initiative taken by Mrs. Udula Kasturimudali, Chairperson, Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps - Seva Vanitha Branch (SLAWC - SVB), pregnant lady soldiers in the 2 (V) SLAWC and 3 (V) SLAWC received basic maternity essentials and dry ration packs on 15 and 16 May 2024.
The event was supervised by Major S.G.M Premathilake and Major H.H.H De Silva, respective Commanding Officers of 2 (V) SLAWC and 3 (V) SLAWC, aimed to offer support to pregnant lady soldiers. Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and members of SLAWC - SVB participated in the event.
