Extending the welfare activities further, Sri Lanka Army Service Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLASC-SVB) distributed baby items for pregnant spouses of Officers, Other Ranks and civil servants serving at SLASC on 04 May 2024 at 2 (V) SLASC Katunayake.
The donation programme was launched under the conceptual layout of Mrs. Chandi Rajapakse, the President of SLASC-SVB and the supervision of Major U.D.K Perera Commanding Officer, 6 SLASC and Mrs. Anusha Wickramasinghe.
45 pregnant mothers were benefited from the programme and the members of SLASC extended the much-required financial generosity.
During the second phase of the programme, Mrs. K.D.I Perera, Retired Nursing Officer of Lady Ridgeway Hospital enlightened the audience on ‘Antenatal and Postnatal Conditions for Mothers’ while Dr. Manori Marasinghe – a member of SLASC-SVB educated the expecting mothers on ‘Brestfeeding’.
Officers, Other Ranks and members of SLASC-SVB participated in the programme.
