ASVU Distributes 100 Dry Ration Packs among War Heroes at Abimansala

The Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) conducted an event on 02 May 2024 at Abimansala II, Kamburupitiya, distributing 100 dry ration packs among War Heroes undergoing recuperation and rehabilitation and their attendants. The beneficiaries were carefully chosen from 'Abhimansala I, II, III, and Mihindu Seth Medura.

Mrs. Janaki Liyanage, the President, ASVU graced the occasion as the chief guest and distributed those relief packs among the War Heroes.

After a while, the ASVU President donated a stock of liquid chlorine to the facility for use during cleaning of the swimming pool, generally used for hydrotherapy treatment of those resident War Heroes. Moments later, Mrs Janaki Liyanage was awarded a special memento by the Commandant of Abimansala II and a residing War Hero.

Adding memories to the day, the President was invited to pose for a group photograph, together with resident War Heroes prior to her departure.

Brigadier Coordinating of ASVU, Senior members of ASVU, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were present at the occasion.
