Under the directions of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) distributed 400 dry ration packs among selected Army & Civil Personnel working at the Army Headquarters on 08 April 2024 at the ASVU office. This initiative aimed to alleviate the economic burden faced by Army personnel, coinciding with the Sinhala and Tamil New Year festival.
Mrs. Janaki Liyanage, the President, ASVU graced the occasion as the chief guest and distributed those relief packs among the recipients.
Brigadier Coordinating of ASVU, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were present at the occasion.
