ASVU Distributes Dry Ration Packs for Residents in ‘Vikumpura’ Model Village

Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, the Commander of the Army along with Mrs. Janaki Liyanage, President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU), visited the ‘Vikumpura’ model village near Murunkan on Friday (29 March).

Upon reaching ‘Vikumpura,’ the Commander of the Army and the President, ASVU interacted with families residing in the village. He discussed their wellbeing, reminisced about the village's inception, and distributed gift parcels, comprising dry rations as incentives from the ASVU.

The Commander, Security Forces – Wanni, the Military Secretary, General Officer Commanding, 54 Infantry Division, Senior members of ASVU, Senior Officers and Officers participated in the event.
