President, Army Seva Vanitha Unit Interacts with War Heroes at 'Abimansala-3'

Mrs. Janaki Liyanage, the President, Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) paid a visit to the 'Abimansala - 3' at Pangolla on 29 February 2024 with the motive of raising moral spirits of differently able War Heroes under recuperation and rehabilitation.

During her visit, the President, ASVU engaged with the inmates, attentively inquiring about their needs and the wellbeing of their families. A group photograph was taken to commemorate the occasion.

Recognizing the creative talents of the War Heroes, the President praised their handicrafts, acknowledging their remarkable skills. Moreover, lunch was provided to War Heroes.

For those permanently injured, special gift parcels were presented, along with essential cleaning items for the maintenance of the swimming pool used for hydrotherapy sessions.

In a reciprocal gesture, the Commandant of 'Abimansala - 3' expressed gratitude to the President, presenting her with a token of appreciation.

Before departing, Mrs. Janaki Liyanage took a moment to pen complimentary remarks in the visitors' book, encapsulating the significance of her visit.

In addition to her visit to 'Abimansala - 3', Mrs. Liyanage also inspected the paper recycling project managed by ASVU and visited the Ayurveda hospital on the premises.

Senior members of the ASVU, Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks participated in the arrangement.
