GW-SVB Ladies Offer Incentives to Children at ‘Mithuru Mithuro’ Children's Home

To coincide with the World Children's Day, the Gemunu Watch Seva Vanitha Branch (GW - SVB) with the support of 8 GW troops staged a children’s day programme to illuminate the spirits of the children at ‘Mithuru Mithuro’ Children’s Home in Pelmadulla on Sunday (29 Oct).

This project was effected on a suggestion made by Mrs. Manori Welagedara, Chairperson, GW - SVB with the support of the Commanding Officer, 8 GW.

A delightful stock of school accessories was gifted to the children, complemented by holding several fun-making activities that brought joy and excitement to those parentless children.

Towards the end of the programme, all children were awarded special prizes before all of them sat for tea and refreshments. As the noon struck, a special lunch treat made them happier leaving unforgettable memories for the children.
