A novel project, the 'Pahata Pahak' programme, aimed at preparing candidates for the Grade-5 scholarship examination commenced at the Corps of Engineer Services (CES) HQ in Panagoda on Saturday (23 September 2022) led by the CES-Seva Vanitha Branch.
The examination-oriented model papers were distributed among 100 Grade-5 students of Officers and Other Ranks belonging to the Corps of Engineer Services. The project was initiated under the guidance of the Chairperson of the Corps of Engineer Services Seva Vanitha Branch (CES - SVB). The initiative was sponsored by Mr. Prasad Lokubalasooriya of the Colombo Royal College Past Pupils' Association.
Meanwhile, on account of the Children’s Day, a children’s programme was organized for the children of Army personnel belonging to the Corps of Engineer Services on Saturday (07 October 2023) under the guidance of Mrs. Surangi Amarapala, Chairperson, CES – SVB. The programme included fun-making games and activities, for which all participants received prizes.
In the same afternoon, a musical event followed for the entertainment of the children before a delicious lunch was served to the students.
