Women's Corps Seva Vanitha Branch Meets Patients at ASVU - Managed Ward No. 5

The Sri Lanka Army Women's Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLAWC–SVB) organized a special mental wellness programme for 34 female patients undergoing residential treatment and its staff at Ward No. 05 of the National Institute of Mental Health, Mulleriyawa on Tuesday (26 Sept).

The project was launched under the guidance of Mrs. Shyamali Wijesekera, Chairperson, SLAWC - SVB. The Chairperson closely watched the well-being of patients undergoing treatment and distributed some gift parcels. Furthermore, the SLAWC-SVB arranged a special music programme and hosted them to evening tea.

Moreover, under the guidance and instructions of Major General U.D Wijesekera RWP RSP USP rcds psc Commander Security Forces -West and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps, the water storage tank and damaged places of the ward No. 5, maintained by the Army Seva Vanitha Unit were renovated with the contribution of the troops of the Corps of Engineer Services. Additionally, a stock of gift parcels consisting of basic needs were also distributed among patients.
