Women's Corps Members Learn Cake-Making & Flower Arrangements

The Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC) Seva Vanitha Branch (SVB) together with the SLAWC Regimental Centre recently held a workshop on 'Cookery/Pastry & Flower Decorations' for the benefit of All Ranks.

The workshop lectures were conducted by Deshabandu Dr Pabilis Silva, Director-Culinary Affairs and Promotion at Mount Lavinia Hotel, Cake designer, Mrs. Nimako De Silva and Mr. Suminda Perera, Chairman, 2nd Chance Flowers. At end of the each lecture, participants took part in practical sessions where they had the chance of interacting with each section attendees.

Mrs. Shyamali Wijesekera, Chairperson, SLAWC Seva Vanitha Branch took the initiative in this connection. The Colonel Commandant, SLAWC and Commander Security Forces-West Major General U.D Wijesekera RWP RSP USP rcds psc graced the inaugural occasion as the Chief Guest, together with the Chairperson, SLAWC-SVB.

Senior SLAWC Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and SLAWC members participated in the workshop.
