President, Army Seva Vanitha Unit Interacts with War Heroes at 'Abimansala-3'

Mrs. Janaki Liyanage, President, Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) paid a visit to the 'Abimansala - 3' at Pangolla on Wednesday (09 August) with the motive of raising moral spirits of our differently able war heroes under recuperation and rehabilitation.

During the programme, those permanently-injured War Heroes were awarded gift parcels. Moreover, an entertainment programme was also held to entertain them by the Calypso band of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps. Further, the President also gifted cleaning items which are required to clean the swimming pool of the War Heroes, used for hydro therapy.

Meanwhile, the ASVU President also visited the paper recycling project which is managed by the ASVU and the Ayurveda hospital at the premises. In the meantime, the President with ASVU members took time to look at handicrafts made by War Heroes and spoke high of their creative skills.

Senior members of the ASVU, Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks participated in the arrangement.
