The Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police Seva Vanitha Unit (SLCMP-SVU), the ‘Provost Ladies Club’ in order to supplement the National Blood Transfusion Service and the National Blood Bank with urgently-needed blood for patients launched a blood donation project at the SLCMP Regimental Headquarters premises at Polhengoda on 6 July 2022.
The 7 Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police troops took the lead in the arrangement where more than 100 SLCMP Officers and Other Ranks voluntarily offered blood for the programme.
Mrs Inoka Illangakoon, Chairperson, SLCMP-SVU was there to see the project a success, together with few SVU executive members and ladies. Medical assistance to the day’s project was extended by the National Blood Transfusion Service.
