The Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) Seva Vanitha Branch (SLCMP-SVB) in the wake of forthcoming Christmas season gave gift parcels of school books and accessories to 34 school children of RHQ SLCMP soldiers during a brief event held recently at the RHQ SLCMP premises in Narahenpita.
Major General Anil Illangakoon, Colonel Commandant Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police and Commander Forward Maintenance Area (Mullaitivu) attended the occasion as the Chief Guest, together with Mrs Inoka Illangakoon, Chairperson, SLCMP-SVB.
34 packs of school equipment and toys were distributed among the children of staff members of the regiment during the event.
SLCMP Calypso and the Beat band played Christmas songs during the event. The event was organized by the 1 Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police. The Centre Commandant, Council members, Senior Officers, members of Seva Vanitha Branch and Other Ranks were present on the occasion.
