A 'Bodhi Pooja plus a Dharma Deshana Pinkama' was organized by the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Seva Vanitha Branch on 24 February 2023 at the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Base Workshop premises.
The event commemorated the war heroes who made the supreme sacrifice and those who went missing in action whilst safeguarding the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the motherland.
The Pinkama was held as per guidelines of Mrs. Nandani Samarakoon, Chairperson, Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Seva Vanitha Branch along with members of the Seva Vanitha Branch.
The 'Bodhi Pooja Pinkama' was conducted by the Chief Incumbent of Akuressa Amalagoda Gangarama Purana Viharaya, Venerable Gonadeniya Sumanrathna Thero and the oration 'Dharma Deshanawa' was delivered by the Chief Incumbent at Gangodawila Nugegoda Sunethradevi Theravada International Buddhist Centre Dhashanapathi Venerable Pussellayaye Chandima Thero.
Major General Indu Samarakoon, Commander, Army Logistic Command and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, Senior Officers, Officers and Seva Vanitha members participated in this event.
