The Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch (SLEME-SVB) recently donated a wheelchair to a retired Officer, Captain R.M. Rathnapala of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Regiment during a simple event.
The retired Officer residing in Bandarawela is confined to bed and has been under medical treatment for a long time.
In addition, the paralysed mother of a Corporal of the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Regiment was also provided with a free wheelchair considering her plight.
The Chairperson, SLEME-SVB initiated the projects with the support of Seva Vanitha ladies who agreed to sponsor those medical aids.
