The Sri Lanka Army Service Corps Seva Vanitha Unit (SLASC-SVU) on a conceptual notion of its Chairperson, Mrs Thushari Wanigasekera in a rare meritorious act recently offered alms to nuns and essential gift packs to 40 pregnant woman soldiers of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps after inviting them to the SLASC Regimental HQ at Panagoda as one of their projects.

Major General Hirosha Wanigasekera, Colonel Commandant, SLASC and Master General Ordnance (MGO), several Officers and Other Ranks were also associated with the event.
