The Gemunu Watch Seva Vanitha Branch on Sunday (09 April) held a New Year fair at Kuruwita Public grounds on an initiative of Mrs. Shalika Edirisinghe, Chairperson, GW- SVB and its Seva Vanitha members.
Agricultural products which they grow in different GW camps and other essentials were on sale at the fair. People of the area got the opportunity to buy goods and items at reasonable price.
Colonel of the Regiment Major General E.A.D.P Edirisinghe psc graced the inauguration as the Chief Guest, members of the Seva Vanith Branch, Officers and other ranks of the regiment and their families attended the event.
