The 12th Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment Seva Vanitha Unit (SLSR- SVU), Mrs Omila Jayawardane assumed office on 23 May at the SLSR –SVU Office at the Regimental Headquarters - Ambepussa, amid religious blessings, warm greetings and best wishes.
Amidst 'Seth Pirith', the new Chairperson signed a formal document to signify the acceptance of the office at the SLSR RHQ, Ambepussa.
After taking over the duties, the new Chairperson shared her thoughts on the possibilities of enhancing the welfare of the soldiers of the Regiment.
Mrs Jeewani Wimalasena, Secretary of SLSR – SUV, Senior Officers, Members of the Seva Vanitha Unit, and Staff Officers of the Regimental Headquarters were also present at the occasion.
