Children in SLLI Family Receive School Accessories

The Sri Lanka Light Infantry Seva Vanitha Branch (SLLI-SVB) initiated a project to distribute school accessories to the value of Rs. 280,000.00 among 22 selected children of Other Ranks and the Civil Staff serving the SLLI family.

The programme was initiated by Mrs Danusha Weesasuriya, Chairperson, SLLI-SVB under the guidance of Major General Channa Weerasuriya, Chief of Staff (COS) and Colonel of the Regiment, SLLI with the backing of Mrs Janaki Liyange, President, Army Seva Vanitha Unit.

During the event, 22 students received class-wise organized packs of school accessories, sufficient for their studies in the upcoming year. Chairperson, SLLI-SVB, graced the distribution event as the chief guest, held at the SLLI auditorium in Panagoda on Saturday (Feb 25).

Colonel Sujith Kulasekara, Centre Commandant, SLLI, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and beneficiaries were present at the event.
