To coincide with the Father’s Day, Mrs. Janaki Liyanage, President, Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) with Seva Vanitha members visited the adults at Home for the Aged at Leslie Ranagala Mawatha, Borella on Sunday (18 June) and offered a sumptuous lunch to them.
Around the same occasion, the Army Calypso Team entertained the residents to music and uplifted their psychological wellbeing while revitalizing their musical memories.
Towards the end of the day’s programme, a stock of gift parcels were awarded by the President ASVU to those elderly people, consisted of cleaning materials, medicine and some other essentials.
Senior members of the ASVU, Brigadier Coordinator of ASVU, Officers and Other Ranks joined the treat.
