Pallekele 'Viru Kekulu' Pre-School Stages its Annual Sports Meet

The 'Viru Kekulu' pre-school in Pallekele, managed by the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU), staged its Annual Sports Meet on Friday (June 23) at the 'Viru Kekulu' playground in Pallekele with the attendance of Mrs Janaki Liyanage, President of ASVU as the chief guest for the day's event.

Mrs Janaki Liyanage was warmly welcomed by the kids, together with senior ASVU members on her arrival at the premises to watch the meet.

Kids showed their talents in various displays and games, inclusive of band displays, drill displays, tricycle game, star game, ball game, fishnet game, etc and the parents of those kids also participated in special games and fun-making events during the meet.

Towards the end, the Chief Guest gave away prizes to the kids before she shared refreshments interacting with kids and their parents. Prior to her departure, she penned some complimentary notes in the visitors' book.

Brigadier K. M. W Bandara, Deputy General Officer Commanding of the 11 Infantry Division, Mrs Shyamali Wijesekera, senior ASVU member, Mrs Chandima Bandara, ASVU lady responsible for 'Viru Kekulu' pre-school management in Pallekele, Senior Officers, Senior Members of ASVU, Other Ranks and parents were present during the event.
