The scholarship project is another major welfare measure being carried out by the Army Seva Vanitha Unit to further encourage children of deceased/ disabled War Heroes and retired/ serving Army personnel and civil employees for higher studies under a new scheme, introduced in the year 2009. To this date, hundreds of such scholarships have been given to the deserving children.
Those scholarships are generally awarded to those who scored high marks in Grade 5 Scholarship exam, G.C.E (Ordinary Level) exam and G.C.E (Advanced Level) exam for specific time durations from 1 year period to 5 years.
