The Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU)-managed 'Viru Kekulu' pre-school in Diyatalawa had their Annual Sports Meet on Friday (June 16) at the 'Viru Kekulu' playground setting the stage for kids to showcase their talents.
President, Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) Mrs Janaki Liyanage graced the occasion as the Chief Guest who was warmly welcomed by the kids on her arrival at the premises to witness the meet.
Kids showed their talents in various displays and games, inclusive of band displays, drill displays, tricycle game, star game, ball game, fishnet game, etc and the parents of those kids also participated in special game fun-making events during the meet.
Towards the end, the Chief Guest gave away prizes to the kids before she shared refreshments interacting with kids and their parents. Prior to her departure, she penned some complimentary notes in the visitors' book.
Major General W.R.M.M Rathnayake RWP RSP USP ndu, Commander Security Forces - Central, Mrs Udeni Rathnayake, ASVU lady responsible for 'Viru Kekulu' pre-school management in Diyatalawa, Senior Officers, Senior Members of ASVU, Other Ranks and parents were present during the event.
