Kids at Panagoda ‘Viru Kekulu’ pre-school had their Annual Sports Meet at the Pangoda Gymnasium on Tuesday (20 June) under the theme “Nature”.
Mrs. Janaki Liyanage, President, Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) attended the inauguration of the event as the Chief Guest, together with several ASVU members. The Chief Guest was warmly welcomed by the kids on her arrival at the location offering bouquets of flowers.
All the kids participated in various sports activities including features, like busy bees, flower fence, little farmers’ game, diligent ants’ game, macco parrot game, tricycle game, funny frog game during the meet.
A special event was also organized for the parents of children and teachers during the sports meet. The day’s event, filled with fun and drill display band display, added colour to the programme. The Chief Guest gave away prizes for the kids who participated in the day’s events.
Major General D. M. K. D. B Pussella RWP RSP, Commander, Security Forces-West, Senior ASVU members, Senior Officers, Officers, pre-school teachers, parents and kids were associated with the occasion.
