Manning Town ‘Viru Kekulu’ Preschool Kids Examined for Oral Health

The Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) for the benefit of kids learning at the ASVU-managed ‘Viru Kekulu’ pre-school in Manning Town held a mobile dental care clinic in collaboration with Link Natural Pvt Ltd on Tuesday (28 Feb).

The inauguration of the project, named ‘Sudantha Samaga Viru Kekulu Muwahasareli’ was attended by the ASVU President, Mrs. Janaki Liyanage, Link Natural Pvt Ltd representatives and a gathering of invitees.

The project covered a total of 150 kids who were examined for oral health, dental care and treatment during the mobile clinic.

The lighting of the traditional oil lamp after the ASVU President and invitees were welcomed set the stage ready for proceedings.

At the outset, Dr Sakunthala Gunawadana, a dental specialist delivered a lecture on ‘oral health’ before the dentists and medical staff began the clinic. Necessary medical advice and instructions were also given to the parents of the kids at this pre-school.

Afterwards, representative officers of Link Natural Pvt Ltd, distributed packs of essentials, educational tools and stationery among kids of the Manning Town ‘Viru Kekulu’ preschool.

Towards the end of the inaugural programme, Mrs Janaki Liyanage presented symbolic mementoes to the lecturer and representatives of the Link Natural Pvt Ltd.
