Late Soldier’s Widow Moves into SLLI-SVB Funded New Home

The Sri Lanka Light Infantry Seva Vanitha Branch (SLLI-SVB) on 14 November 2022 with SLLI troops completed the construction of a new house to the family of an SLLI soldier who died in a motor cycle accident at Hettipola and vested it in the family during a simple warming ceremony.

Funds for the project were provided by the SLLI-SVB under the guidelines given by Mrs Shiromala Kodithuwakku, Chairperson, SLLI-SVB.

Major General Jagath Kodithuwakku, Chief of Staff and the Colonel of the Regiment, SLLI and Colonel Sujith Kulasekera, Center Commandant, SLLI Regimental HQ were present at the warming ceremony.

The SLLI-SVB Chairperson delivered the keys to the widow after unveiling of the plaque to that effect.
