The Annual General Meeting -2023(AGM) of the Gemunu Watch Seva Vanitha Branch (GW-SVB) was held on 18 February at the GW Regimental Headquarters in Kuruwita, headed by Mrs. Ruwini Lamahewa, Chairperson of the GW- SVB.
After the AGM formalities and appointment of office-bearers, Dr Himal Chaminda delivered a comprehensive lecture, related to ‘Diseases associated with Aging and Solution to them’.
As one more part of the day's programme, the GW-SVB gifted a stock of school accessories, stationeries and essentials to the children of one late soldier of the GW. His widow and children accepted the gift from the Chairperson in the presence of the attendees.
Giving further significance to the day’s event, the Chairperson, together with Major General Chaminda Lamahewa, Colonel of the Regiment, GW inaugurated the newly-constructed GW- SVU office in the premises.
GW Seva Vanitha ladies, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were associated with the day's programme.
