The Gemunu Watch Seva Vanitha Branch (GW-SVB) presented a new wheelchair to a resident war hero at 'Abimansala 2' in Kamburupitiya last Wednesday (Dec 21) consequent upon a request made by the resident from Mrs Ruvini Lamahewa, Chairperson of the GW-SVB.
A recent visit to the wellness resort by the Chairperson, GW-SVB prompted her to give this gift to the War Hero. Several other essentials, including bamboo reed mats for use of those resident War Heroes were also given to the centre at the same occasion.
The donor, Mrs Nirosha Nishanthi sponsored the cost of the wheelchair to the value of Rs. 400,000/=.
