Kids at 'Viru Kekulu' pre-school in Galle had their Annual Sports Meet at the 14 Gemunu Watch camp grounds in Galle on Wednesday (14 June).
President, Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) Mrs Janaki Liyanage graced the occasion as the Chief Guest who was warmly welcomed by the kids on her arrival at the premises to witness the meet.
All the kids in the pre-school participated in various sports and fun-making features including obstacle race, passing pebbles, tap up high, honey game, funny game, hat game, caterpillar game, ring toss, flower game, ants with sugar and drill displays during the meet.
A special event, organized for the parents of children also got underway during the sports meet. The day’s event, filled with fun and sports ended with a drill display and the Chief Guest gave away prizes to the kids who participated in the day’s events.
Major General H.M.U Herath RWP RSP USP Hdmc psc, General Officer Commanding, 61 Infantry Division, Brigadier Coordination of the. Army Seva Vanitha Unit, Brigadier N. Mahawithana, Officers of the ASVU office, parents and guardians participated in this event.
