Kids at Anuradhapura ‘Viru Kekulu’ pre-school meanwhile showcased their talents in the Annual Sports Meet at the Anuradhapura ‘Viru Kekulu’ pre-school playground on Monday (26) morning under the theme, ‘Healthy Kids - Healthy Life’.
Mrs. Janaki Liyanage, President, Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) attended the inauguration of the event as the Chief Guest, together with several ASVU members. The Chief Guest was warmly welcomed by the kids on her arrival at the location offering sheaves of betel and bouquets of flowers.
All the kids participated in various sports activities including features, like Hockey Game, Collecting Balls, Ring game, pillow game, rabbit game, etc. during the meet.
A special event was also organized for the parents of children and teachers during the sports meet. The day’s event, filled with fun and drill and band displays, added colour to the programme. The Chief Guest gave away prizes to the kids who participated in the day’s events. The gesture was reciprocated by offering a special memento to the day’s Chief Guest.
Major General C.D Ranasinghe RWP RSP, Commander, Security Forces - Wanni, Mrs Deepareka Ransinghe, ASVU lady responsible for ‘Viru Kekulu’ pre-school management in Ipalogama, Senior Officers, Senior Members of ASVU, Other Ranks and parents were present during the event.
