The Inter-Battalion Tug of War Championship – 2026 of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment was successfully concluded on 16 January 2026 at the Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, Ambepussa. The event was proudly hosted by the 12th Battalion of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and witnessed enthusiastic participation from competing battalions, highlighting teamwork, strength, and regimental spirit.
After a series of closely contested and physically demanding matches, the team representing the 12th Battalion emerged victorious to clinch the championship title. The team from the 11th (Volunteer) Battalion of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment performed commendably throughout the tournament and secured the runner-up.
Major General P.N. Wickramasinghe graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and commended the participants for their high level of sportsmanship and competitive spirit. Senior Officers and Officers of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment were also present, adding prestige to the event. The competition reinforced camaraderie, physical fitness, and the enduring traditions of the regiment.
