The Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) successfully concluded a special training programme for newly commissioned officers on 14 January 2025 at the Regimental Centre.
The 14-day programme was conducted to familiarize young officers with the core functioning and traditions of the regiment. A total of 20 newly passed-out officers participated in the training.
The curriculum covered key areas including the functioning and responsibilities of the regiment, military law, drill practices, and recreational activities aimed at developing leadership, teamwork, and discipline. The programme concluded with final presentations conducted in syndicates, allowing officers to demonstrate their learning and analytical skills.
The concluding session was attended by the Centre Commandant, Deputy Centre Commandant and staff officers of the Regimental Centre, highlighting the importance placed on the professional development of newly commissioned officers.
This training programme reflects the SLSR’s continued commitment to preparing competent, disciplined, and knowledgeable officers to meet future operational and leadership challenges.
