The 2026 Inter-Battalion Swimming Competition, hosted by the 1st Battalion of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, took place at the Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment in Ambepussa on 13 January 2026.
The championship was won by the team from the 1st Battalion of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, while the Runners-up position was claimed by the team representing the 2nd (V) Battalion of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment.
Second Lieutenant Y.D. Jayawardena, who was honored as the ‘Best Swimmer’ in Swimming Competition.
Major General CS Thibbotuge, Director General (Administration) University Hospital KDU, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Further, Senior Officers and Officers from Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment witnessed the Competition.
