The 16 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR), celebrated its 16th anniversary on 01 November 2024 at the 16 SLSR premises with a series of military formalities under the guidance of Major W.H. Wickramasinghe RSP USP, Commanding Officer of 16 SLSR.
Upon arrival, the Commanding Officer was accorded a Guard Turnout, followed by a Battalion parade by the troops of 16 SLSR. He also planted a sapling on the camp premises, addressed the troops, posed for a group photograph, and attended an All-Ranks lunch.
Additionally, a cricket and volleyball tournament were organized on 03 November 2024, in line with the anniversary. The celebration concluded with the presentation of tokens of appreciation to both military and civilian staff in acknowledgment of their dedicated service.
Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks of 16 SLSR participated in the anniversary celebrations.
