The Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch (SLSR-SVB) marked International Women's Day on 13 March 2025 at the Regimental Centre SLSR under the guidance of its Chairperson, Mrs. Indunil Jayakody. Major General JKR Jayakody RWP USP, General Officer Commanding of 58 Division and Colonel of the Regiment of SLSR, graced the event as the Chief Guest.
As part of the event, Major Vishmika de Silva from the Army Hospital, Narahenpita, delivered a lecture on "Satisfied Married Life." In addition, three university students of Army personnel received scholarships, each worth Rs. 3,000.00 per month for two years, through the sponsorship of a Sri Lankan residing in Japan. Further, 13 Sarees were distributed to the spouses of Other Ranks through a raffle draw.
