Under the initiative of Mrs. Indunil Jayakody, Chairperson of the Sinha Seva Vanitha Branch, a special programme was conducted on 04 October 2025 at the SOS Children’s Village, Piliyandala, in commemoration of World Children’s Day, which falls on 1 October 2025.
The Deputy Commander of Security Forces Headquarters (West) and Colonel of the Regiment of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, Major General JKR Jayakody RWP USP, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Members of the Sinha Seva Vanitha Branch actively participated in organizing a variety of sports and recreational activities to entertain the residential children and attendees. Prizes were awarded to the winners, and sports equipment valued at approximately Rs. 30,000.00 was donated for the use and benefit of the children residing at the Village.
