The troops of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment Regimental Centre paid their respects to the outgoing Centre Commandant, Brigadier C S Thibbotuge, during a simple ceremony held at the Regimental Centre in Ambepussa on 25 February 2025.
The outgoing Centre Commandant was honoured with a Guard Turnout and a parade by the troops. Upon his arrival, he was escorted by Colonel C N Kathriarachchi RWP, the Deputy Centre Commandant of SLSR, to a special dais in the parade square.
Following this, Brigadier Chaminda Thibbotuge paid floral tributes to the memory of the fallen SLSR War Heroes and saluted their bravery. The ceremony was concluded with an all-ranks tea.
Several Council members, the Deputy Centre Commandant of RHQ SLSR, senior officers, officers and other ranks were present at the occasion.
