Newly promoted SLSR SNCOs Received Their Insignias

Newly elevated Senior Non-commissioned Officers (SNCOs) of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) received their new ranks from Brigadier Chaminda Thibbotuge, Centre Commandant of SLSR this morning (18). 120 SNCOs of the regiment received this promotion bonanza coincide with the 14th Victory Commemoration.

The Centre Commandant conveyed the necessary instructions together with congratulations to the new rankers on behalf of Major General Priyantha Jayawardena, Colonel of the Regiment SLSR and Quarter Master General after they adorn new insignias.

On the same day, special refresher course for SNCOs serving in all battalions was started and Brigadier Chaminda Thibbotuge, Centre Commandant SLSR graced as the chief guest of the inauguration of the course held at the Regimental Centre auditorium. This course is planned to conduct in one week by covering the areas of leadership, drill, military law, etiquettes, regimental history, responsibilities of SNCOs and etc.

Further, he said that the vision of the Colonel of the Regiment is to groom SNCOs to perform duties well with confident and betterment for the organization. Staff Officers and instructors of the course also attended the venue.
