Colonel of the Regiment Continues the Battalion Visit

Major General JKR Jayakody RWP USP, General Officer Commanding of 58 Infantry Division and Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) continued the Battalion visit to the SLSR battalions from 11 to 18 March 2025.

During the visit, Colonel of the Regiment inspected the operational readiness and administrative efficiency of the SLSR battalions, visiting the 4th Battalion SLSR in Nelliady, the 5th (V) Battalion SLSR in Mankulam, the 6th Battalion SLSR in Paranthan, the 7th Battalion SLSR in Omanthei, the 10th Battalion SLSR in Alampill and the 16th Battalion SLSR in Kanagarayankulam. The Commanding Officers of each battalion extended a warm welcome to the Colonel of the Regiment, adhering to the military traditions, and provided detailed briefings on the functioning and operational status of their respective battalions.

During the visit, Major General Rohan Jayakody shared his vision with the Commanding Officers, officers, and other troops, offering key instructions on training, discipline, security matters, and the importance of nation-building to enhance the battalion's standards in every aspect. He also emphasized the battalion's vital role in supporting national development, urging a deep commitment to the country's progress while maintaining the highest military standards at all times.

Brigadier Indika Perera, the Centre Commandant of the SLSR, along with several staff officers from the Regimental Centre, also took part in the visit.
