VISIT TO PROVIDE RELIEF TO THE DITWA CYCLONE -AFFECTED SOLDIERS

The President of the Seva Vanitha Branch- SLNG, Mrs. Kumari Pallekumbura, conducted an outreach visit on 6 January 2026 to inquire into the well-being of soldiers of the Regiment who were affected by Cyclone Ditwa, which struck the island in November 2025.

During the visit, the Chairperson covered the areas of Hatharaliyadda, Palletalawinna, and Geli Oya, where dry ration packs were distributed to the affected soldiers as a gesture of support and care. Photographs captured during the visit are appended herewith.
