The 6th Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) proudly celebrated its 35th Anniversary on 07 Nov 2025 with a series of commemorative events held at the Battalion Headquarters. Marking this significant milestone, a ceremonial parade was held in honour of the Commanding Officer, reflecting the Battalion’s rich history, unwavering dedication, and steadfast contribution to the Sri Lanka Army.
Adding further pride to the occasion, a newly constructed gymnasium was declared open, symbolizing the unit’s continued commitment to enhancing the physical fitness, discipline, and well being of its troops. The establishment of this facility underscores the Battalion’s ongoing efforts to foster unity, morale, and operational readiness among all ranks.
This milestone celebration served as a fitting tribute to the unwavering dedication, professionalism, and excellence of all officers and soldiers past and present who have contributed to the proud legacy of the 6th Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard.
