THE DEPUTY COMMANDANT OF THE SRI LANKA ARMY VOLUNTEER FORCE VISIT TO THE REGIMENTAL CENTRE SRILANKA NATIONAL GUARD

Major General B M R J Bandara, the Deputy Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), made an official visit to the Regimental Centre of the Sri Lanka National Guard on 21 July 2025.

The Deputy Commandant of the SLAVF was accorded a Guard Turnout at the entrance of Heraliyawala camp and welcome by the Centre Commandant, Brigadier L W S R Wettasinghe. To mark his visit to the Regimental Centre, a tree sapling was planted at the Heraliyawala camp premises. Further, the Deputy Commandant's visit was followed by a troops address and an All Rank tea with interaction with Regimental troops.

Subsequent to the visit, the Deputy Commandant observed the rehearsals of the regimental drill parade team. Council members, senior officers, and officers of the Sri Lanka National Guard participated in the event.
