Visit to the Family of Late L/Cpl Dissanayake TBN, Nochchiyagama

On 05th Dec 2025,The President of SLNG SVB, Mrs Kumarie Pallekumbura along with members of the branch visited the residence of the late L/Cpl Dissanayake TBN, located in Nochchiyagama, to offer condolences to the bereaved family. The soldier had tragically lost his life in a landslide incident in the Nortobridge area. while on duty.

During the visit, the SLNG SVB team participated in the 7th-day almsgiving ceremony, paying respects to the deceased soldier and providing support to the grieving family. Also donated dry rations and necessary items required for almsgiving.

The visit aimed to extend solidarity and support to the family of the fallen soldier, acknowledging their sacrifice and service to the nation.
