The monthly meeting of the Sri Lanka National Guard Seva Vanitha Branch (SLNG-SVB), chaired by the President, Mrs. Sumangali Pathiravithana, was held on February 23, 2025. While presiding over the meeting, the President outlined the upcoming welfare and development projects planned for the future.
Before the meeting, SLNG-SVB distributed educational aids to the children of civil employees serving at the Regimental Centre SLNG to encourage their academic growth.
SLNG-SVB also held a simple yet memorable ceremony to bid farewell to its outgoing Vice President, Mrs. Nilanka Nawarathna. The event was attended by the President and members, who gathered to honor the contributions and valuable services of Mrs. Nilanka Nawarathna to the Seva Vanitha Branch.
A presentation was made highlighting her achievements during her tenure. The Secretary of SLNG-SVB delivered a speech expressing appreciation for the outgoing Vice President's dedication and service. In her farewell speech, the vice president thanked the members for their support.
