The Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) bids farewell to Brigadier N H J Mangala Nawarathne , Centre Commandant, on 23 February 2025. The event paid a heartfelt tribute to his leadership and service during his tenure.
Upon his arrival at the SLNG Regimental Centre, he was warmly welcomed by the Deputy Centre Commandant of the SLNG. He was then accorded a Guard Turnout by the SLNG troops, followed by a Parade.
The formalities continued with an All-Ranks Tea Session, providing an opportunity for the Outgoing Centre Commandant to interact with Officers and soldiers. To commemorate the occasion, a group photograph was taken with troops of SLNG.
In his farewell address, the Outgoing Centre Commandant expressed his gratitude to all SLNG members for their unwavering support and dedication throughout his tenure.
The event concluded with the symbolic handover of duties, marking the end of his distinguished service as the Centre Commandant. Col of the Regt, Council Members, Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks of SLNG were present to witness this significant moment and to extend their best wishes.
