SEVA VANITHA BRANCH - SRI LANKA NATIONAL GUARD CONDUCTS MEDICAL CLINIC AND EYE CARE PROGRAMME

The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka National Guard (SVB-SLNG) conducted a Medical Clinic and Eye Care Programme on 01 February 2026 at the Auditorium of the Regimental Centre, with the aim of promoting preventive healthcare among service personnel, retired war heroes, civilian employees, and their families.

Organized in collaboration with the Kolonnawa Lions Club, District 306 D 6, the programme included eye examinations, distribution of spectacles, and basic medical screening, supported by essential investigations such as blood tests. Approximately 320 beneficiaries received medical services during the clinic.

The event was graced by the President of the Seva Vanitha Branch - SLNG, Mrs. Kumarie Pallekumbura, and the Colonel of the Regiment, Major General Janaka Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc, along with representatives of the Kolonnawa Lions Club. As an added initiative, mango saplings were distributed among participants, and refreshments were provided to all attendees.

This programme reflected the continued commitment of the Seva Vanitha Branch - SLNG towards safeguarding the health and well-being of the Sri Lanka National Guard family through meaningful civil-military cooperation.
