The Inter Battalion Basketball and Elle Tournament organized by 3 SLEME and EME Arty Bn as a concept of Colonel Commandant of SLEME Regiment and under the supervision of Centre Commandant of RHQ SLEME got underway at 3 SLEME Basketball Court and ITS ground in Minneriya on 03rd and 04th September 2025.
15 Basketball teams and 16 Elle teams vied in the tournament. School of EME became the champions of the Basketball tournament beating 3 SLEME in the finals. Capt(QM) DMS Dissanayaka won the award for the best shooter of the Basketball tournament and S/631911 L/Cpl Sandaruwan HKU became the most talented Player of the Elle tournament. RHQ SLEME became the champions of the Elle tournament beating 5 SLEME in the finals.
Colonel Commandant of SLEME and Director General Elecetrical and Mechanical Engineering Major General C Kalutharaarachchi attended the finals as the Chief Guest and Centre Commandant of RHQ SLEME Brigadier HDAN Hettige,Senior officers, Commanding Officers, Officers and Other Ranks presented during the final presentation ceremony.
