The Inter Battalion Cricket and Tug of War Tournament organized by 5 SLEME and EME Armd Bn as a concept of Colonel Commandant of SLEME Regiment and under the supervision of Centre Commandant of RHQ SLEME got underway at 5 SLEME Cricket ground in Saliyapura on 6th and 7th February 2025.
18 Cricket teams and 15 Tug of war teams vied in the tournament. 7 SLEME became the champions of the cricket tournament beating EME Base Wksp( UDW) in the finals. S/630411 Cpl Ruwan Kumara APS won the award for both man of the series and best batsman in the cricket tournament and S/631261 L/Cpl Bandara SMCI became the man of the match in the finals. EME Armd Bn became the champions of the Tug of War Tournament beating 5 SLEME in the finals.
The Commander Log Command SFHQ (W) and Colonel Commandant of SLEME Regiment Maj Gen T A Peiris ptsc attended the finals as the Chief Guest and most of the senior officers, officers and other ranks were presented during the final presentation ceremony.
